Vasshella was founded in January 2008
Our mission is to develop flexible solutions for subsea well head systems.
Based on experience from offshore and land based industrial systems Vasshella started to develop a flexible connection to be placed under a subsea wellhead. The main purpose was to reduce fatigue impact of the weld between the wellhead and the 20” casing.
An advanced design of HNBR rubber in combination with an innovative steel design gives us unmatched strength combined with flexibility – in other words; unmatched fatigue properties.
The design was presented to StatoilHydro, well and drilling technology. The presentation gave Vasshella Subsea the opportunity to sign a development contract with Statoil.
